Sitting here on a beautiful but windy fall evening while Darby is out driving the streets, I was browsing through
Steph and Kyle's blog, when it occurred to me that this would be a great way to keep family and friends up-to-date on Hughes Happenings way out in this faraway land called Texas. I don't know what to start blogging about, so I guess I will start with Thanksgiving, since that was the most recent holiday. For those of you who don't know, my sister
Robyn flew out to visit us for the weekend. I told her that before I even picked her up from the airport, I was missing her already, just knowing that the weekend would fly by so fast. And it did! But memories were made, from Robyn seeing her first public not-on-Halloween cowboy hat to me over-baking my very first Turkey.... from exploring downtown Fort Worth while Darby sang at the Bass Hall to playing
20Questions .... from sunshine to snow.... can't wait until we get to see the rest of our family at Christmas time!
Ready, begin!

Shhh... don't tell him but he kinda massacred it! :0)

This is the outside of Bass Hall, where Darby sang in the choir
Yep, we took her to Cracker Barrel!
It snowed on Thanksgiving!
Can you believe the fall colors?
I don't miss California when I see these trees!
