Our 4-year-old

Parenting a 4-year-old has brought some challenges, but I gotta say that I love this age!  My Calla knows so much, thinks she knows more than she does, and wants to know even more.  She is always asking me "what if" questions as she is figuring out the way the world works.  "Mommy, what would happen if I was eating inside a monkey's tummy?"  Ummm... that was a fun one!  Part of this stage is making up songs and stories.  She recently had a friend over for a play date and afterwards wanted to make a picture, tell a story, and send it to her in the mail.

Our 4-year-old is also old enough to sit in church the whole time with us!  This is from the first time.

Our fancy 4-year-old loves dressing up.  Part of the joys of that has been the memories made as she has gotten creative with her little brother!  There were a few weeks where he was daily dressed up as some princess or wearing high heels!

He's okay now though, we bought some boy dress-up stuff!
Calla tells me that Cole is her best friend.  God has really answered our prayers that they grow closer and start to like each other a little more!  They are pretty inseparable playing together at home now.
My 4-year-old travels with an entourage.  We take weekly trips to Atlanta for me to get my allergy shots, and she has grown quite comfortable in that office.
My little 4-year-old is finally able to learn about trying to be more disciplined and orderly in caring for the things God has given us.  I'm still learning, so I don't expect much!  However, she is so enthusiastic about life, I often find her sitting in the middle of a big pile of toys!
Some dear friends gave us a perfectly Callariffic princess bike after their daughter outgrew it.  We decided to make this her surprise prize for keeping her room completely clean and in order for an entire week.  What a great job she did!!  I was impressed.  Now we just have to teach her how to pedal!
There is a little update on Calla.  Hoping it won't be long before I can write an update on our 2 1/2 year old!
