Cute Cole

Just a few videos I couldn't resist posting!  First is of Cole trying to jump, all cute and dressed up for a wedding.  The next is what he did one day after Calla brushed her teeth.

Fun at the Zoo

Our family is being all spontaneous lately.  We took a trip to the zoo, showed up 2 hours before closing time, it ended up being perfect!  Perfect weather, hardly anyone there, and the animals decided to be the best they'd ever been for us!  We were talking about the evolution of Calla's zoo visits.  First visit: giraffe. ellie.  Second visit:  elephant eat.  bear walk. monkey ooh ooh ahh ahh. This visit:  Is that a mommy or daddy elephant?  Is it a family?  Is that orangutan the nana?  It's the nana.  The elephant is saying hi to me.  The sheep is scary.  (in her defense, it was a pretty scary sheep!) :)
I have never seen a tiger this close before.  Just looked like you could scratch it behind its ears and make it purr... probably not though!
Wow... thankful for the glass.
Too cool not to make it really big.

Calla is standing like a flamingo.  Cole's first zoo exhibit.  He is just quietly observing.

Today was "Move-Up Sunday" at our church, meaning they are in new Sunday School classes.  For Calla it was a big day, because for the first time, I would not be her teacher.  She said to me this morning, "Mommy, I want you to still be my teacher," and after class told me, "I thought about you when I was in my new class." *tears*  For Cole, this is his first time in Sunday School rather than just nursery.  He's growing up!  Darby peeked in the window at one point and saw Cole sitting on a blanket with his friends having a little lesson.  As for me, I will be with the sweet 2-year-olds again.  Was last year's class ever this little?!?  Praying that the Lord would make each teacher's service bear rich fruit someday.

Cole's first Braves game. Calla's second.  What a night!  Getting lost trying to get there, praying our noisy car doesn't break down in some scary parts of Atlanta, showing up really late, overpaying for parking, cranky parking guy, scalper giving us tickets for FREE (who has ever heard of THAT?), usher letting us move to better seats with a perfect breeze, watching both kids do the Oh oh oh hand chop thingy, missing ALL the scoring, seeing the fireworks and hearing the cheers from Chipper Jones' winning HOMERUN from OUTSIDE the stadium (my fault)... I asked Calla her favorite thing at the game, she said the cotton candy (which we didn't buy, poor thing).  But a lot of fun!  Here's to spontaneity!
